This RAB is supposed to be your source list for your PRN and other papers – so you need to have all the articles and experts focused on one topic or issue that is controversial and the subject of great debate. Please narrow your topic to focus on one hotly argued issue. If you revise this, make sure you make all your articles focus on that issue and that your reflection indicates what camp of opinion the author is part of and how well his arguments are made.

* Even if this is a first draft it is important to organize your annotations according to APA rules: The list is organized by the last name of the Principal Researcher (first listed) who headed the study – alphabetically. Luxton comes after Bort.
* Put each component of the RAB (Precis, Vocabulary, Reflection, Quotables) under its own heading in that order. Your first annotation does not have Reflection or Quotables – unless the second paragraph is your reflection – you see why its good to label them.
Precis:
Your Precis is too short: 91 words. The Precis and the Reflection must be 100–150 words each.
Your Precis needs to summarize the main theses of the authors, and your Reflection is your analysis of the arguments presented by the author, and how well he makes them.
You need to introduce us to your expert in the first couple of lines, telling us what his expertise is, where he is affiliated, etc.
There is no need for in-text citations anywhere in the RAB because it IS a citation – annotated.
Quotes go in the Quotables section only.
Last line of the Precis: please tell your reader why you picked this article and how it is relevant to your topic.
Look at the instructions AND the rubric for the RAB as they tell you how many words should be listed in the vocab section – and they should be the keywords one would use to search for this article in a database.
