Nrs-437v module 5 dq 2 – ethical dilemma in healthcare..4
The moral duty of healthcare providers is to ensure that the care they provide to their patients is excellent. When making treatment and procedure decisions, this includes advocating for their patients’ needs while adhering with applicable ethical standards.
This responsibility can sometimes conflict with other obligations, such as providing professional development or economic stability. If a provider has an opportunity that could be financially advantageous but may potentially cause harm to their patient, they have to choose what’s best for them and what’s best for the individual in need.
It is crucial that healthcare providers balance their personal and professional interests to ensure that each party receives the best possible care. It can be difficult at times but by showing empathy towards all involved one can ensure that everyone’s rights/obligations are upheld thus helping to create a more equitable society where everyone’s wellbeing is taken into consideration whenever possible.
