Performance measures: evaluating the project’s success
To measure success in my informatics project, I’ll use the following performance indicators: user adoption, satisfaction, cost analysis, quality improvements, efficiency gains and time savings. I will use user adoption rates and satisfaction rates to determine the success of the implementation in providing positive experiences for users when they use the system. A cost-benefit analysis can provide a snapshot of the financial implications of the project for both long-term and short-term budgets. This information can be used as a way to measure return on investment.
You can measure efficiency and time savings by monitoring how fast processes are finished after the implementation of the system. Also, employees may provide feedback about any problems they had prior to it being implemented. Quality improvement assessments are useful for assessing any improvements in the outcomes that result from improved accuracy and streamlined workflows since the introduction of the system. These metrics are important for determining whether or not an organization’s investment into a particular informatics solution was worth it – making them essential for assessing success.
