Management and leadership are distinct terms that can be interchangeably used. They have distinct meanings in relation to professional and organizational practice.

It is all about setting a vision and coordinating resources and people towards that goal. Leadership is often characterized as charismatic and visionary leaders who inspire and motivate others.
Management, on the other hand is the act of organizing and planning resources such as people, money, or time. To achieve specific goals. Managers are responsible for ensuring day-to-day operations run efficiently and effectively, as well as that organizational goals can be achieved. Many managers are analytical and systematic individuals that are process-oriented. They are committed to achieving specific goals in a set time frame.
Summary: Leadership involves setting the direction for others, inspiring them, and management concerns planning, organizing, controlling and monitoring resources so that they can achieve their goals. Both leadership and management are essential to the success of a team or organization. They require different approaches and skills. Although some people have both leadership and managerial skills, others are more skilled at either one.
