What community health nursing intervention strategies will best be suited to address your selected health concern? How you will integrate these methods into your project?

When it comes to addressing my selected health concern—racism and its effects on mental health—I plan to use several community health nursing intervention strategies. These include carrying out research on the issue, providing education about racism’s impact on mental wellbeing, and creating a safe space for individuals to discuss their experiences with others who may have similar struggles.

To gain a deeper understanding, I will first gather information from trusted sources like the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), World Health Organization(WHO) or American Psychological Associations (APA). These data will assist me in making the best possible interventions to address this issue.

I will also provide education resources explaining why racism is important. This material should be based on facts and figures about the effects it has on mental and physical health of minorities, especially those of African American origin. I also plan to establish support groups for members where they can freely express their emotions in a safe environment and receive advice from professionals.

I believe this mix of strategies can help me create an inclusive program to address racism at the both individual and collective level. These methods will be incorporated into my project to raise awareness and promote change in communities that are affected by disparities in access/quality of care.
