The latest figures show that approximately 28.9 millions Americans are still uninsured. This could be due to several factors, including low job benefits, high premiums, and not being eligible for public-funded coverage. Additionally, people who live in low income homes are at greater risk of not having insurance due to the fact that they don’t have employer-based coverage or do not have sufficient funds to buy private options.

The lack of health insurance can have serious consequences when it comes to an individual’s well being! Preventative and treatment measures may not be taken if you don’t have the financial means to cover them. This can lead to further complications. Additionally , research has shown that those who do not possess insurance are at greater risk of mortality & worse overall outcomes even with similar diagnosis & severity levels compared with their counterparts who do (American Academy Of Social Work & Social Welfare, 2021).

Overall , these statistics make it clear that inadequate health care coverage is still a major issue in today’s society ! By understanding what contributes towards people’s lack of insurance and its implications on health care one can gain further perspective which may help inform future policy decisions .
