Guided reflection| NURS 8100 – Healthcare Policy and Advocacy | Walden University
This research gave me a greater understanding of the best ways to engage in advocacy. Particularly, I know how crucial it is to utilize evidence-based changes proposals and get support from stakeholders to help build momentum. In order to help build support, public relations is a tool that can reach outside audiences.
In the future, these strategies are what I will use to push for policy change related to my topic. It involves researching existing policies, identifying where they could be improved; creating or finding data that supports my proposals; connecting with key people who have the expertise and resources I need; and creating a communication plan that is easily used throughout this process. This approach will allow me to achieve the campaign’s goals.
