Evaluation of evidence-based nursing practice | nursing | Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences
EBP, in terms of policy was originally developed to address traditional care methods that often failed to provide sufficient evidence or were out of date. As such, this approach has been incorporated into many healthcare institutions’ policies and guidelines in order to ensure that quality patient care is being delivered through evidence-based interventions rather than relying solely on provider preferences or anecdotal experience.
Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) is an emerging concept in healthcare. It aims at improving decision-making through the use of current best evidence, while also encouraging greater transparency among providers and patients about possible treatment options. This model is likely to continue evolving as more research is done and integrated into clinical practice guides, allowing for better outcomes for all parties.
