My nursing philosophy from earlier in my nursing career. Write an essay explaining how my philosophy has not changed.

From my early days in nursing, my philosophy was patient-centered. It meant that I tried to meet the needs of every patient individually and make sure they have a pleasant experience during their entire care process. My belief is that providing quality healthcare should always be rooted in forming strong relationships with those under our care – this not only helps alleviate fear and confusion but also enables us to better understand how best to meet their unique requirements.

My overall philosophy remains the same, but my knowledge of how to truly practice patient-centric medicine has changed over time. As a physician, I understand the importance of tailoring care to patients’ needs and providing emotional support as needed. Patients should feel supported rather than being patronized in their medical treatment.

My commitment to patient-oriented care has remained strong despite being a nurse for many years. In fact, it’s only been a few more years that I have been on my journey of self-reflection, growth, and personal development. Regardless of whether it’s been two days or twenty years since embarking on this journey, every day brings newfound appreciation for just how vital compassionate practices are when it comes to improving outcomes for those we serve.
