Module 5 Assignment 2: Discussion
Because it covers all possibilities, this hypothesis can be used as a starting point. It captures the following outcomes: both locations produce equal-quality products, each location produces better products, and there are no differences between them. Furthermore, this type of test can provide valuable insight into how different locations factor into a company’s overall performance which can then be used to make informed decisions regarding production processes or cost allocations.
This hypothesis allows us to identify if discrepancies can be attributed to only environmental factors like cultural differences and regulation variances. These could cause additional problems when trying to make changes at multiple locations simultaneously. We can explore the potential causes and create better solutions by using a null hypothesis.
