Managers must understand what conditions are necessary to ensure team productivity and collaboration. Teams that do not have these ideal conditions may be ineffective, unproductive, or unable to communicate well with each other and fail to achieve their goals. If team members don’t communicate clearly their expectations, they can become frustrated and discouraged with the tasks at hand. This will result in lower morale and motivation. It can also be hard for teams to keep their eyes on the same goal without having a shared purpose. The result is wasted time and lower quality output. Management can make sure that their teams are more likely to achieve their objectives and be efficient with time and resources by understanding and fostering the right team dynamics such as respect, trust and openness.
