It helps identify the risks and potential opportunities that are associated with the project under evaluation. This helps us to identify our strengths and weaknesses so that we can capitalize on them.

We also get insight into the potential risks posed by competitors or external forces. Knowing these things will help us take preventative steps to minimize their impact on our business operations.
