1. The chairperson is responsible for supervising and scheduling meetings as well as ensuring all items discussed are documented or reported on time.
2. The Clinical Manager/Director is responsible to oversee protocol usage in the facility. This includes collaboration with other clinical staff members to implement the best care plan and evaluation of patient outcomes.
3. Physician Representatives provide guidance to patients regarding protocols development and usage, and also participate in decisions-making related to current and future healthcare initiatives.
4 A Nurse Representative provides invaluable nursing insights into protocols, based on their experiences working with patients in different settings over their careers. They also have an awareness of safety regulations and potential concerns associated with specific protocols that must be addressed before they can be implemented.
5 A representative of the Administrator: Responsible for supporting medical staff in decisions related to protocol usage; also, they assist with financial analysis as it pertains to costs associated for employing particular protocols or equipment that are necessary for their successful implementation.
