The patient in scenario 3 is a 44-year-old female suffering from chest pains that have been bothering her for several days. Advanced practice nurses are trained to evaluate patients and gather information about their health that can help in diagnosing the problem. First, I will perform a physical examination to see if any signs or symptoms may be contributing to your chest pain. The first step would be to check the vital signs of her, including her heart rate, rhythm, respiration rate, oxygen saturation and any visible physical changes like swelling or discoloration in her torso. Also, I’d ask her about current medications and any lifestyle factors (smoking/alcohol), as well as any other possible health issues.

Because of the severity of her symptoms, it is important to have some lab testing done to determine what might be causing them. In addition it’s important that diagnostic imaging tests such Angiogram, CT scan or X-ray should be conducted so further visual observations can made in relation possible source of discomfort .
