Islam is the world’s most popular faith. Most Asian countries, especially the Middle East, have some form of Islam. It is evident in the architectural design of places of worship as well as the dress code, which is accepted by many. Mosques, places of worship for Muslims, have a distinctive geometrical design that is influenced by traditional architecture. They are easily recognized worldwide and can be seen in many countries. For demonstrating cultural values and artistic standards, the flooring and decoration inside mosques (such as stained-glass colors) are crucial. In order to highlight the sacredness of religious places, it is customary to remove your shoes prior to entering them. Islamic belief has its own dress code. It serves both the purpose of moral precepts as well as protecting its adherents. Islam, my partner’s religion is one that’s incredibly unique but still displays the many essential attributes of a religious faith.
The Characteristics Of A Religion
Belief System
First, a belief system is a fundamental feature of religion. The belief system is a collection of beliefs which give an understanding of the universe and human place in it. The belief system of a unique religion creates a view of the world from its followers’ perspective. The central doctrine of Islam’s faith is monotheism. Monotheism, also known in Islam as Allah, is the belief in a single god. Islam holds that the universe was created by one God (God), who also sent prophets carrying the same message, which in turn led to monotheism. Patel (2018). A tenet in Islam, the Creed (or Shahadah), requires Muslims to declare that Allah is their God and Muhammad his Messenger. Most of the Islamic faith’s foundation is on the belief in the Quran. This holy book is also referred to as the revelations of Allah. Muhammad is the prophet of Allah who sent the Qur’an (the divine message) and its holy book Qur’an to the Muslims. He is also a key tenet within the Islamic belief systems.
The Community
To be accepted, a community has to adopt a particular religion. One definition of a community is a range of people with the same goals and beliefs. The community could also be called the followers of the faith. The large majority of Muslims follow the Islamic faith. Muslims share a common belief in Allah, the one supreme deity. Abraham, the same ancestor as Jews, is the founder of the Muslim community. Abraham was the father of two sons, Isaac (Sarah’s child) and Ishmael (Ishmael’s son), who were both born to Abraham and Sarah and Sarah’s maid Hagar. Muslims can trace their roots to Ishmael (also known as Ismail) from an Islamic perspective.
